Since 1992 — 34 years of operations in 2026Approved Talent Search applicants are invited to attend a live audition at a participating location within RIDM Entertainment’s rotation of venues. Invitations are arranged according to the time of application and the available audition schedule, venue capacity and performance slots.
DMC / RIDM confirms the assigned venue, date, time and arrival instructions with each approved applicant. Applicants should attend the location and time stated in their invitation; approval alone does not confirm a date or a walk-in slot.
Artist application fee: CAD $20 per application. This is the individual artist’s fee. Venue participation and live-event hosting fees are charged to participating venues, not to individual artists. Approved artists are invited to a live audition in the venue rotation according to application timing and scheduling; DMC confirms the location, date and time.

At each karaoke competition, 10% of the total verified voting value goes to the artist with the most votes, and 10% goes into the accumulated prize pool. This 20% allocation is separate from venue reconciliation and replaces the earlier karaoke winner-pool allocation.
One verified token vote represents CAD $0.50. Only tokens used to vote in that karaoke competition count; unused tokens, drinks, entrance fees, admission tickets, taxes and transaction charges are excluded. For CAD $1,000 in verified voting value, the top artist receives $100 and the accumulated pool receives $100.
A tied top result is held for resolution before an award is issued. Pool contributions are tracked separately from payouts.
Your verified audition payment includes 40 RIDM tokens worth CAD $20. Vote for yourself, vote for another eligible performer, or buy a drink at a participating bar that accepts the tokens. An active RIDM account is required. Bar taxes and disclosed transaction charges are separate.
Upload your performance video for the World of Music Festival Talent Search. Talent Search audition application: CAD $20; karaoke competition registration: CAD $20. Approved applicants in both categories then pay a separate $100 Iridium Network registration before entering the competition. Our panel rates performances from 1 to 10, with 10 the highest standard.
Selected entries are profiled on our RIDMTV YouTube broadcast channel for audience interaction and platform voting. The highest valid public vote response wins, subject to the published competition rules.
Planned awards include promotional contracts and services, consolation prizes, sponsor gift packages and corporate sponsorship packages. Confirmed awards, dates and eligibility will be listed for each competition before entries open.
Talent Search artists and performers, especially competition winners, may be available for endorsement contracts, brand promotional campaigns, commercial merchandising, and other marketing, media and communications engagements.
DMC Communications can arrange and manage these engagements for and on behalf of an artist under an agreed representation mandate, working with sponsors, participating producers and affiliate media agencies that provide campaign, production and promotional services. Artists and industry partners are invited to propose suitable collaborations and artist-package offers.
Each engagement requires the artist’s approval and a separate written contract identifying the services, approved brands and uses, fees or royalties, rights, duration, territory, approvals and any exclusivity. Competition participation or winning does not automatically authorize an endorsement, merchandising use or agency representation, and no commercial contract is guaranteed. Existing artist commitments and intellectual property rights remain respected.

Producers, record companies and entertainment promotion companies are invited to register, apply to join our judging panels, enter their eligible artists and take part in professional talent searches. Bring your regional talent to the Global Exchange and propose recording, production, promotion and artist-package offers.
Regional partners can apply as a network agent, booking agency, promoter, producer, record company or entertainment promotion company. Include your region, artist roster and profile links, professional services, package offers and the roles you wish to undertake. Approved listings follow the network’s existing registration, payment verification and review process; artist profiles and entries require artist authorization.
Judging appointments are subject to review. Disclose artist and business affiliations; judges must not score their own artists or entries where they have a conflict. First-option and label arrangements require a separate written agreement with the artist.

RIDM proposes that all participating performing artists be reserved for consideration for the competition’s prize contract and recording opportunity, subject to eligibility, selection and a separate signed agreement. Participation does not guarantee a prize, recording contract or label placement.
For applicants who enter without an existing contract, the proposed participation agreement would require them to defer entering new management or promotional contracts until their competition has concluded, so RIDM can exercise an agreed first option to negotiate production, recording and label arrangements. Applicants with existing commitments must disclose them; these terms do not override existing agreements.
Proposed terms — pending legal review and explicit artist acceptance. Before these conditions become entry requirements, a written agreement must identify the contracting parties, covered services and rights, competition end date, a fixed first-option deadline, how an offer is made and accepted, and when the restriction expires. No indefinite restriction or automatic transfer of rights is created by an application, fee payment or this notice. Any extended restriction requires a separately signed agreement.

Weekly local auditions and 12 monthly city shows lead into one annual World of Music Festival grand finale. Selected participants will be invited to the annual programme to showcase their talent and connect with audiences, artists, promoters and the RIDM network.
The festival is in development. Dates, host location, invitation criteria, performance arrangements and participation terms will be published before invitations are issued.
Festival & performance updatesApplicants whose performances are not approved will receive a constructive critic’s response from the reviewing panel. The response will identify the faults or weaknesses found in the video and/or performance and provide practical recommendations for improving the presentation, recording quality and performance.
Applicants may improve their video or performance and resubmit it as a new application, with a new $20 audition entry fee or $20 karaoke registration for each resubmission. Resubmissions are reviewed again and must meet the applicable competition rules and entry deadlines.
Consumer response creates subscription value toward the promotional services, prize and gift package described in the competition rules. Thresholds count verified gross fan-club receipts, excluding refunded or reversed payments. Free follows, unverified pledges, views and votes do not count as payments.
Reaching $500 qualifies the promotional package value; reaching $1,500 qualifies the full representation package value through consumer subscription response. The competition rules identify the services, prizes and gifts covered by that value and how the collected revenue is allocated and settled. The agreed RIDM/artist revenue shares continue to apply. The winner is determined by the highest valid public vote response under the published rules.
Talent Search — original artist content: entrants present their own original material and authorize its performance and promotional use.
Karaoke — presentation, performance and delivery: entrants perform karaoke repertoire; original songwriting is not a karaoke judging requirement. Judges rate each of these three criteria from 1 to 10, alongside the overall rating.
Both categories use the same 50¢-per-vote verified audience-response voting and $5-per-month fan-club subscription structure, with the same $500 promotional and $1,500 full-representation qualification thresholds. Subscription receipts and public votes are tracked separately. Each verified $5 monthly subscription includes 10 initial vote tokens; using a vote token records a vote. Winners are determined separately within each category by valid public votes under the published rules. Qualifying karaoke winners have the same access to promotional, representation and performance opportunities as Talent Search winners, subject to the same eligibility and confirmed award terms.
Merchandising and commercial licensing: full merchandising rights are available only under a separate, expressly accepted license identifying the approved footage, images, recordings, artist name or likeness, merchandise and products, territories, duration, permitted distributors, approvals, royalties or other compensation, accounting and termination terms. This submission permission alone does not authorize selling an artist’s recordings or placing their work or likeness on merchandise.
Editing and promotional use must respect applicable moral rights and must not misrepresent an artist’s endorsement or distort their work in a manner prejudicial to their honour or reputation. No blanket waiver of moral rights is requested. Applicants under the age of legal capacity require appropriate parent or guardian authorization and any other approvals required locally.
Submitted footage, recordings, photographs, images, music and other audio remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. Submission does not transfer copyright or ownership to RIDM, DMC or Global Exchange.
For new submissions, the applicant grants RIDM and DMC a non-exclusive permission to copy, host, publish, broadcast, display, perform and edit the submitted material into promotional recordings, clips and graphics in connection with the RIDM Entertainment Talent Show, its artist packages, related products and associated promotions, including the Global Exchange, YouTube, TikTok and other campaign channels. This permission covers these promotional uses; any separate commercial release, exclusive rights or label agreement requires a separate written agreement.
Applicants must own the material or hold all necessary permissions, including those for music, images and other people appearing in it. Credit the artist where practicable. Existing submissions remain governed by the permissions accepted when submitted; broader uses require renewed permission.
The undersigned grants DMC Communications, DMC RIDM Entertainment and World of Music Festival a non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, duplicate, edit, adapt, host, distribute, display, perform, broadcast and advertise the identified submitted recordings, songs, photographs, footage, artwork and performer materials for event operation and promotion, related advertising, artist packages, publishing, merchandising and commercial downloads. Ownership remains with the respective rights holders. Commercial receipts and the rights-holder share must be reconciled under the specific revenue terms accepted with this release. This licence does not represent that a performer owns third-party compositions, samples, master recordings, images or collaborator rights. The signer must obtain those permissions and identify any exclusions before commercial publication. No release of copyright ownership or waiver of moral rights is implied. No commercial publication is enabled without a signed revenue agreement and administrator review.

The Talent Search winner and the karaoke competition winner each have an opportunity to work with a song or music producer to produce at least one single promoting their achievement. Both category winners may also be considered for a term recording contract.
Producer arrangements, production scope, timing, funding, song and recording rights, credits and release promotion are confirmed in a written agreement. A term recording contract is a possible further opportunity, subject to an offer and mutually agreed terms.

The combined 20% consolation allocation is split equally: 10% of total voting-pool revenue goes to runner-up performers and 10% goes to the top 10 eligible voters who supported the winners. Highest voters are ranked by their verified votes cast for the winning performances. Voter places 1st–10th each receive an equal 10% share of the voter pool (1% of voting-pool revenue per place). Unfilled places remain reserved pending published eligibility and tie rules.
For example, CAD $10,000 in accumulated voting-pool revenue allocates $2,000 to winning performers, $1,000 to runner-up performers and $1,000 to the top-voter consolation pool. These are pool totals, not individual awards.
The separate CAD $2,000 sponsor voter bonus remains available under its own published terms. Performer winner shares (1st–4th): 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% of the 20% winner pool. Performer consolation shares (5th–10th): 30%, 25%, 20%, 12%, 8%, 5% of the 10% runner-up pool. Eligible Talent Search performances and tie rules remain to be confirmed; karaoke uses the separate event allocation above. The $500 example voter pool is shared among up to 4 qualifying voters; it is not $500 for each voter.
